A broad heating format

ROBUST HEAT
IN USEFUL SHAPES

Tubular heaters enclose an electrically insulated resistance element within a metal sheath that can be supplied straight or formed for the application.

Hotset UK sources tubular heaters from a range of established suppliers, allowing the construction to be selected around the medium, temperature, dimensions, electrical loading and required shape.

The range also includes hotflex from Hotset Germany: a flexible tubular heater designed to be formed in three dimensions for heating moulds, tools and complex profiles.

Every application is different.

Heating air, liquid and solid metal components presents different demands. Always identify the heated medium, operating temperature, required sheath material, mounting and control method.

Hotset hotflex

HEAT THAT FOLLOWS
THE CONTOUR

Hotflex is a flexible tubular heater that can be formed by hand in three dimensions, allowing heat to follow the shape of moulds, tools and complex channels.

The highly compressed stainless-steel construction provides close contact with the recommended groove, supporting efficient heat transfer and rapid heat-up without specialist forming equipment.

Hotset UK holds selected 6.5 mm and 8.5 mm heaters for rapid supply. Other listed sizes are normally available from Hotset Germany in 7–10 working days.

Typical applications

WHERE TUBULAR HEATERS ARE USED

A tubular construction can transfer heat into air, liquids, tooling and solid components when correctly selected and installed.

Air heating

Ducts, ovens and circulation systems using correctly supported elements and controlled airflow.

Liquid heating

Immersion arrangements designed for the liquid, vessel, watt density and required sheath compatibility.

Moulds and tooling

Formed elements installed in grooves or channels to heat production tooling and metal components.

OEM equipment

Bespoke heating assemblies for machinery manufacturers and specialist process equipment.
